Hello everybody
The last time I visited a new place was this morning and I really would like to tell you about it!
For one of my classes we have to go to district one. We met each other at the gate of the medicine faculty, and walked together to the metro station, where we took a train to Acevedo station, and in there we took the metro cable car and got off in two stations more.
We learned a bit about the situation of the community and we had the opportunity to listen to one of the leaders who has caused most impact there, she guided us around the place.
The most beautiful place that I could see there was the house of the culture. Time before was a police station, and was a really hard work for the community to transform it in an integration center, dedicated to the benefit of the community from the smaller to the elderly.
At the entrance there was a little vegetable garden where they cultivated medicinal plants, and a cute girl who works there told us excited how the place worked and why it was so important to the community.
The place had three floors. At the first floor was a cooking activity, the most of the people were women of middle age, but there were younger ones too. All of them looked comfy and happy. There were two dancing rooms and the music room on the second floor where was practicing a group. On one wall was a big mural with a painting that represents the history of the community.

On the third floor was the auditorium which sadly was not in use since two years ago, because it was damaged with the electricity and the mayor’s office has not given them money.
After finishing observing everything, we thanked and left the place.

I'm Valentina Orozco, I study medicine at Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia. I'm from Ibague and I'm 18 years old. I am kind, optimistic, respectful, tolerant and I'm trying to improve my punctuality. I'm in love with life and learning, I like to travel, the music, the photographic, the nature, the people and the learning. I do not like intolerance, nor do people who undergo others. This blog was born by an English class, but in the future it may contain different things. Have an excellent day!
