My mom

My mom name is Angela Maria, she’s 40 years old and is a beautiful woman.

Her main fear during the last pregnancy was my healthy, because the doctors said that was a pregnancy of high risk and that the baby could born dead or with a problem like down syndrome, fortunately everything went well. The first person that my mother told that she was pregnant was my father.

She had some cravings during the pregnancy like bread with arequipe and hot bocadillo, and after the 4 first months I started to kick on the belly a lot. She broke fountain in the center of the city, while she was buying some things for me with my grandmother. I was born at 7pm for natural birth and she didn’t keep my umbilical cord, because at the moment didn’t know about it. My mom put me a bracelet for protecting me of the eye bad look and prayed to Santa Marta for my healthy. She tried to breastfeed me several times, but came little milk, so the most of the time I drank from bottle.

She wanted to my name was “Angy Valentina”, but my grandmother for side of dad wanted to my name was “Laura” so when the notary came and listened to both argue he decided that my name was going to be “Laura Valentina”.

My mom recording many things about my early life in a big album, like my first hair cut, my foot prism and first steps. I was a very spoiled girl but I never was a manipulator baby, I cried little and most of all when I was hungry. The first year was the most difficulty because I got sick very often and my mom was afraid, so she had to took me to emergency and the doctors did to me nebulizations.

The first time that I went to the school, at the beginig I didn’t want to separate from my mother, but after I saw the other children I ran and my mom started to cry. Years later, when she knew that I had been accepted at Universidad de Antioquia, she was very happy and exiting for my, but was too sad because knew that I was going to go away.

She’s a very strong, interesting and wonderful woman, I love her very much.

I'm Valentina Orozco, I study medicine at Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia. I'm from Ibague and I'm 18 years old. I am kind, optimistic, respectful, tolerant and I'm trying to improve my punctuality. I'm in love with life and learning, I like to travel, the music, the photographic, the nature, the people and the learning. I do not like intolerance, nor do people who undergo others. This blog was born by an English class, but in the future it may contain different things. Have an excellent day!
