I like the Medellin´s flower festival, from my point of view it transforms the city to one more cheerful, warmer and colorful. I am not a fan of crowds, I don’t really like them, but despite this I am very happy that the city is full because I know that it is good for its economy and I think that the tourists from our own country and foreigners allow us the exchange of cultures, traditions and ways of seeing life. There is always something that can learned from the other. It is also important that the tourist know the beautiful things of our country and thus make Colombia recognize as the beautiful country it is.
The disadvantages that I see in this type of event are that these crowds of people who arrive cause traffic to collapse, as well as increasing crime and the prices of certain things.
Making the events of this holiday free would allow many low-income people to attend and enjoy the beauty that it has to offer. I think it is a complex challenge, because it is a significant source of money, but sure with a little organization could be achieved.
When I was a child and lived in another city, for me was beautiful to see on the television the flower decorations and the wheelbarrows that men carried, I am very happy to have seen them in person. I do not attend events very often because of my responsibilities, but I still enjoy this time and I hope others do
