MEDICAL STUDENT

Being a medical student for me has been a challenge. It requires responsibility, a lot of dedication, commitment and above all vocation, without the real desire to study this profession could be a hell for many.

As everything in life has its advantages and disadvantages. It is wonderful to know that someday you will be close to understanding the human body, how to cure illness and help many people, but it is also very unmotivating to realize that it is so much information that even you study a lot it is not possible to cover all that you would like, plus all the personal sacrifices that it is necessary to make, like: Say no to many dates with friends and family, to many activities that you would like to do and even sometimes sacrifice your physical health for stress, poor diet, lack of exercise and little sleep.

Before entering the program I had been warned how hard it was going to be, but for me it wasn’t real until I started to studying. In spite of all the sacrifices I had to make and I will have to make, I continue to fall in love every day with this profession and the beautiful things I hope to be able to do with this knowledge.

I'm Valentina Orozco, I study medicine at Universidad de Antioquia in Medellin, Colombia. I'm from Ibague and I'm 18 years old. I am kind, optimistic, respectful, tolerant and I'm trying to improve my punctuality. I'm in love with life and learning, I like to travel, the music, the photographic, the nature, the people and the learning. I do not like intolerance, nor do people who undergo others. This blog was born by an English class, but in the future it may contain different things. Have an excellent day!
